Sonography is a type of imaging test that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images of structures within your body. It is also known as ultrasound or sonogram. It can be used to examine the internal organs, blood flow, pregnancy, and other conditions. It is a noninvasive, painless, and relatively inexpensive procedure.
